ABOUT
Students will review basic music theory, rehearse in sectionals, and also rehearse as one large ensemble. Make friends, learn an instrument, play multiple songs, and perform in a concert!
We will have a snack break each day, and snacks will be provided. There will be a pizza party for lunch on the last day of camp (Friday).
This camp is open to all current
5th – 8th graders!
It is open to both students who are currently enrolled in a band class, as well as students who are wishing to learn an instrument in band next year!
This camp will be from Monday, June 6th through Friday, June 10th at Tavares Middle School. Each day will run from 9AM – 12:30PM.
The end-of-camp CONCERT will be held on Friday, June 10th at 1:00PM. It will take place in the Tavares MS Cafeteria. This concert is free and open to the public - all are welcome!
The cost of this camp is $40. This includes a t-shirt, pizza party on the last day of camp, and will help pay for all of the instructors at the camp.
This must be paid by the first day of camp. CASH or CHECKS are accepted. All checks should be made out to the Tavares High School Band Boosters.
Fine Print: Any checks turned in ahead of time will not be deposited until the week of camp.
If you are interested in playing in JAZZ BAND next year, join us for an additional bonus camp!
The jazz portion of Band Camp will run every day from 1:00 – 2:00. These jazz students will need to bring a lunch every day.
This is only open to students who have played saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, piano, guitar, bass guitar, or percussion for at least one year. Students who have no experience on these instruments will not be permitted to be enrolled in the jazz portion of camp.
